It’s Back…The San Diego Science Festival!!

It’s back and bigger than ever, the week-long science extravaganza called the SAN DIEGO SCIENCE FESTIVAL.  The grand finale of the Festival is on the last day, March 23rd at Petco Park.

Science Family Day at Balboa Park

Balboa Park, San Diego

Join us as we kick off a week of Science! More than 20 cultural institutions will offer free hands-on science activities from 11am – 3pm. Children 12 and under FREE with a paid adult. Free activities along the Prado walkway.

Bee Charmed!

March 17,  2013 2:00 pm  –    3:30 pm

Wild Willow Farm & Education Center, San Diego

They don’t have Facebook accounts, but bees are extremely social insects. Join James Nieh from UC San Diego as he discusses foraging, communication and social behavior in bees and honey bee health. Afterward, take a tour of Willow Farm & Education Center’s honey bee hives and enjoy a honey tasting.
